The National Rifle Association (NRA) revealed in a letter to Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) that the organization has received financial contributions from 23 people associated with Russia since 2015.
The letter, written by the NRA general counsel John Frazer, dated Tuesday and made public on Wednesday, acknowledged that the NRA accepted a bit over $2,500 from these individuals.
Sen. Wyden has grilled the NRA for months about potential associates who have Russian dealings. They have already come forward with Russian entanglement in the past. Frazer said in the letter to the senator that the organization would stop providing information on the matter after this response.
