An island-wide blackout hit Puerto Rico Wednesday, as it continues to experience living off an unstable power grid following the devastating hurricanes this season. Power will hopefully be restored within 24 to 36 hours. For months, Puerto Rico has contended with extensive power outages after Hurricane Maria devastated the US commonwealth.

Algerian Military Plane Crash Kills 257 people

An Algerian military plane has crashed near Algiers. The 257 people on board were all killed, officials say.  The defense ministry reported that most of the deceased are army personnel and their families. Ten crew members also died.
